Waste management

We provide advice and services relating to all aspects of waste management as defined. Waste management naturally includes collection, transport, processing, recycling and disposal of waste. It covers solid waste, liquid waste and gaseous waste.

We can provide licence services relating to the submission of representations relating to emerging waste plans and also to provide advice on existing and adopted waste plans. We have regular dealings with Waste Planning Authorities and also with the Environment Agency concerning all aspects of waste planning and waste licensing.

We are fully conversant with the Waste Management Licensing regime and have regular dealings with the Environment Agency concerning the preparation and submission of Waste Management Licences and the securing of such Licences. Clearly, in order to obtain a Waste Management Licence, it is of course first of all necessary to secure the appropriate Planning Permission or Lawful Development Certificate. We have substantial experience in the submission and securing of appropriate Planning Permissions for waste management activities including for example waste skip recycling sites.

We also provide advice on all aspects of waste management including issues relating to landfill sites and issues relating to incineration. We also provide general advice on planning and environmental aspects of all types of recycling including physical recycling, biological recycling and energy recovery.
